Who we are
Reel Lucky Entrepreneurs is an invitation-only crew operated by Reel Lucky ("we", "us"). This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it, and how we look after it.
If you have any questions, email us at pat.lynes@sullivanstanley.com.
What we collect
When you apply for a founding seat, we collect the information you enter into the application form: your name, email address, where you're based, a line about your business, exit or portfolio, a revenue or exit value band, your LinkedIn profile, the networks you're part of, your recent travel, your relationship to fishing, why you're applying, and whether your partner might join.
When you contact us by email, we keep the correspondence.
We also collect standard, anonymised analytics about how the site is used (pages visited, device type, approximate region) via Vercel Analytics. This does not use cookies and does not identify you personally.
Why we collect it
We use your application details to assess your fit for the network, to contact you about your application, and, if you are accepted, to organise trips and events. We use analytics to understand what is working on the site and improve it.
We rely on your consent (you choose to submit the form) and our legitimate interest in running a members' network as the legal bases for this processing.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information. We share it only with the service providers we need to run the site and the network: our hosting and database provider (Vercel and Neon) and our email provider (Resend), each of whom processes data on our behalf under contract.
If you are accepted, we may share your name and business with other members and with trip partners strictly as needed to organise an event you have signed up for.
How long we keep it
Applications that are not accepted are deleted within 12 months. Members' details are kept for as long as they remain part of the network and for a reasonable period afterwards for our records. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. To do any of these, email us at the address above and we will respond within 30 days.
If you are in the UK or EU you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Security
Data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored in access-controlled infrastructure. Only the people who need to see applications to assess them have access.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last changed.
